Open Question: back from vacation without toddler and now he hates me?
Hey all…i just came back from a much needed vacation down south with my hubby, the babies daddy, got home today thinking that he would be so excited to see me as he is a mommies boy through and through and he wants NOTHING to do with me. I cant touch him, hold him, nothing! Usually I am the one to put him down and tonight his daddy did (which he would usually cry about ). I went in to try and cuddle and he pulled away from me and got as close up to daddy as possible. Im so hurt and broken hearted.
Is this normal and how do i fix it? He is only 2.

Open Question: Why does my friend lie so much?
Before i start, let me just let you know that my w key is really bad and i have to press it pretty hard, so if i miss it in any word or sentence, sorry. Ok I have this friend that I’ve knon since first grade and we’re in highschool now. I have never lied to her about anything and I have the highest amount of confidence with her. One thing that really pisses me off about her though is that she lies soooo much! She lies about everything. For example, over the winter vacation she had told me that she couldn’t come over cuz her mom was going to Califor. (We live in NYC) for the vacation and she;d be gone the whole vacation. On a Wednesday, I was walking home from an Ice cream shop and I see her mom and she comes over to talk. She tells me that the other day her and my friend had gone to Bryant park to ice skate and she wanted to take me, but my friend had told her that I as sick. I got really pissed off and I asked my friend why i saw her mom when she was “gone”. She said “Really, well I haven’t seen her all week”. Seriously, wtf. I usually take my friend to school in the morning, but this morning she called me to tell me not to pick her because she had a doc. appointment and she would go to schoo later. Ok. I get home from school and my mom says “What happend with “Lisa”, I saw her walking to school this morning as I drove back home”. Another lie from my friend. I just don;t understand why she lies so much about things she doesn’t need to lie about!

Open Question: Why are Americans so afraid of Ciudad Juárez?
It’s true that the city has a LOT of murder. And yes, sometimes bystanders get clipped.

But I visit CJ about 10 times per year, and I just returned from CJ a few days ago. I have to. It’s part of my job, since I do consulting and buyer-side acquisitions from some of the factories down there.

I drive a modest 1990’s-era car from El Paso into CJ, and then I usually stop downtown for some drinks, food, and maybe even a baseball/soccer game or a bullfight if there is one going on that evening.

Then I drive to my hotel. If I get there at night, I stay at a hotel downtown. If it’s the day, I’ll drive to a hotel near the airport, since those are closer to the maquilas.

Anyhow, even though I have heard gunshots now and then, I have never been robbed or attacked or threatened. My car has never been broken into (even though it has Texas plates).

CJ is actually one of the more developed cities in Mexico. It has big strip mall avenues with Home Depots and Wal-Marts and fast food, and everything you’d find in America.

I’m not saying that Americans should all go down to CJ for a vacation, but I’m just pointing out that CJ is a working city that is still doing business. It’s a big town with 1.5 million people or so. Bad things happen, but there is also new construction, new factories, and pretty decent infrastructure (you can see the utility trucks cruising around all day installing new lines and repairing stuff).

Why don’t Americans have a balanced view of CJ?
